Start in Ljubljana

The Island

Pletna - The boat
Bled’s traditional wooden boats, called pletna gondolas, are an iconic way to explore the lake. Rowed by skilled local oarsmen, they offer a peaceful and authentic experience, taking visitors across the emerald waters to Bled Island while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding mountains and castle.
Vintgar Gorge
Just a few minutes from Lake Bled lies the stunning Vintgar Gorge, carved by the emerald-green Radovna River. A wooden walkway takes you 1.6 km through rapids, pools, and cliffs, ending at the 13 m Šum Waterfall. Bled Castle
